‘Yahi Kaam Sapna Poora Karega’: Tired Of His 9-To-5, PhD Scholar Starts Riding For Rapido After Work

Many people dream of finding a better work-life balance, but one corporate employee decided to do something different when he started feeling stuck in the same office routine every day. Instead of spending his evenings at home, he took up a second job as a Rapido bike taxi rider after office hours.

Deepak Pandey, who is also pursuing a PhD, says the decision helped him break away from the boredom of a regular 9-to-5 schedule. Apart from earning extra money, he says the experience has brought more energy and purpose into his daily life.

He Wanted More Than Office Life

Deepak Pandey shared in his videos that he had been feeling mentally tired despite having a stable corporate job. According to him, the fixed routine of going to work and returning home every day started making him feel trapped.

Looking for a change, he signed up as a Rapido rider and began taking passengers around the city after finishing work.

What started as an experiment soon became a regular part of his life. He said he now earns around Rs 600 to Rs 700 on most evenings through bike taxi rides.

On days when he works longer hours as a rider, his earnings can go up to Rs 1,500.

The Side Gig Gave Him Fresh Motivation

For Deepak Pandey, the extra income is only one part of the story. He says meeting new people, travelling across different parts of the city and trying something outside his comfort zone helped him feel more motivated.

Along with managing a full-time job and working as a bike taxi rider, he is also pursuing a PhD. On top of that, he prepares his own meals, creates content for social media and edits his videos.

Reflecting on his journey, Pandey said fear often stopped him from trying new things in the past. Worries about failure, uncertainty and what others might think kept him from taking risks.

He now encourages people to push themselves beyond their comfort zones if they want to achieve bigger goals.

Social Media Cheers Him On

Many social media users praised Deepak Pandey for managing multiple responsibilities at the same time and wished him success.

A user wrote, “Bhaiya aap great ho.” Another commented, “Video bohot acchi lagi bhai. Aise hi lage raho aur apne sapne poore karo.”

“Sab Kuch chodega tabhi kuch banega sab kuch nahi milega,” a person said. “Inspirational,” a different user wrote.

A comment read, “All the very best brother.. very less people realise this.”

Someone else said, “Bahut sundar sir aapko dekh kar motivation achchha mil raha hai.”
