‘I’m Having The Time Of My Life Here’: American Travel Creator Falls In Love With Bihar, Adventure Goes Viral
At a time when Bihar is often seen in a negative light due to its socio-economic conditions, a foreigner showed that the state and its people are much more than meets the eye. In a video shared on Instagram, an American content creator, Tony Klor, grabbed everyone’s attention by capturing the side of Bihar that people often overlook or rarely get to see.
The video documented his journey from Mansi to Bhagalpur, a trip that Google Maps estimated would take around four hours by road. But the creator did not follow the conventional route. Instead, he embarked on a journey he jokingly described as a faster, more “Indian” solution. “Google Maps said 4 hours. Bihar said, ‘Sit down beta,’” read the caption of the post.
“I’m an American and I’m having the time of my life here in Bihar,” Tony said at the beginning of the clip. “I’m here in Mansi, and it says here on Google Maps that it’s gonna take 4 hours to get to Bhagalpur. It’s literally a 20-minute drive, but do you know what Google Maps doesn’t know about: Indian ingenuity. I guarantee you there’s a way we can get to Bhagalpur real quick.”
What follows is a montage of his unconventional trip. He first hopped onto a local’s bike. Calling Biharis “sweet”, he said, “They always pick you up no matter what. Bihar is so damn beautiful!” His adventurous journey took an even more dramatic turn when he arrived at an under-construction bridge over the River Ganga. He looked around in confusion, but still enthusiastic, and told his viewers, “I have no idea how we’re gonna get through this, it’s a scene here.”
After speaking with a few locals, he realised they would use a boat to cross the river to reach Bhagalpur. He then boarded a motorboat and continued his journey, trying to strike up conversations about food with locals.
His video quickly gained traction, with many amused by his enthusiasm for visiting Bihar. It stood out to most for Tony’s curiosity, infectious energy and enthusiasm.
“Bro might be the only person to be having fun in Bihar,” said one user.
Another compared him to one of Hrithik Roshan’s iconic characters, saying, “You’re the American version of Prem Kishen from Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon.”
Someone else shared, “Seeing someone so excited for my hometown was not on my 2026 bingo card.”
One individual thanked the American creator for showing their hometown in a positive light and penned, “This is incredible. Thanks for such an appreciation. I am from Bhagalpur.”
