A young software engineer living in Noida has shared how he manages his monthly expenses on Rs 36,000. In a video posted on Instagram, he explained his rent, food, travel, and daily costs in detail. He also said that even after all his spending, he is able to save around Rs 20,000 every month.
He lives alone and handles all his expenses himself. The breakdown shows how he keeps his lifestyle balanced while still managing to save a large part of his income.
Rent Takes The Biggest Share
The biggest expense for him is rent. He shares a 3BHK flat with others, and his portion of the rent comes to Rs 15,000 every month. He also spends around Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 on electricity, depending on his AC usage.
This keeps his basic housing cost fairly stable compared to other expenses.
Food is a mixed expense for him. Since his office provides free meals during the day, he saves a lot on breakfast and lunch.
However, he often orders dinner, which adds to his monthly spending. He also spends around Rs 8,000 on food delivery and groceries combined.
Along with that, he spends Rs 5,000 on protein powder, oats, and other health items.
For fitness, his gym cost is very low at around Rs 500 per month. He also spends about Rs 5,000 on outings with friends.
His travel cost is also limited. He uses a motorcycle, which costs him around Rs 2,000 per month in fuel.
For entertainment, he barely spends anything and only pays for YouTube Premium, which costs Rs 90 a month.
Adding all his expenses together, his total monthly spending comes to around Rs 36,000. Despite this, he manages to save Rs 20,000 every month.
