An air conditioner is supposed to cool a room. But one X (formerly Twitter) post left people laughing after revealing how one man’s attempt to install his new AC ended up doing the exact opposite.
The story began when a woman shared that her friend had called her in frustration. He had spent Rs 35,000 on an AC, but despite keeping it switched on, the room refused to cool down. Confused by the problem, he asked her for help. What she saw next left her speechless.
A Photo Explained Everything
In a post on X, the woman wrote, “My friend bought a Rs 35,000 AC. Then he called me and said, “Friend, the AC is running, but it’s not cooling at all.” I replied, “Send me a photo.” The moment I saw the picture, I couldn’t stop laughing.”
The image showed the split AC installed inside the room as expected. However, there was one major problem. The outdoor unit, which is usually fixed outside the house to release heat, had also been mounted inside the same room.
The unusual setup quickly explained why the AC wasn’t working as intended.
The Outdoor Unit Stayed Indoors
Sharing more details, she wrote, “The genius had installed the AC himself, but he also mounted the outdoor unit inside the room. I asked, “What have you done ?” He said, “If I install it outside, dust will settle on it, so I kept it safely indoors.”
Now how do I explain to him that the whole purpose of the outdoor unit is to throw the room’s heat outside. and this legend decided to keep all that heat confined inside the room.”
She added, “At this point, even the AC must be thinking “there’s nothing wrong with me, the real problem is the person who installed me.’ Honestly, this level of confidence could make professional engineers question their careers. Now tell me, what would you like to say to such a strong engineer friend?”
