In Dakshina Kannada district, 17,86,112 enumeration forms are distributed out of the total 18,03,766 electors (99.02%), said Deputy Commissioner H.V. Darshan on Wednesday.
In a statement here, Mr. Darshan urged electors who received the forms to return the filled in forms at the earliest to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) so as to hasten digitisation of the forms.
July 29 is the last day for digitisation. BLOs require at least four minutes to digitise the enumeration forms through the BLO App. If enumeration forms are returned at the end, that is around July 25, the digitisation process could get delayed, he said. Names of only those electors whose details are digitised would remain in the draft electoral rolls to be published on August 5.
So far, 3,80,568 forms (19.92%) are digitised in the district.
