We’re surprised it took this long, but the timing makes a lot of sense given how expensive gaming hardware has gotten. GeForce Now, Nvidia’s game streaming service, is now available in India. The service first entered the country with an open beta in April, but that only offered 90-day passes. Now, it’s widely available and it offers monthly passes instead.

The free ad-supported tier gets you 1080p @ 60fps streaming with gaming sessions limited to 1 hour. This is a great way to test things out (especially your Internet connection) and might work for games that are played in short rounds.

There are two more tiers – Performance for ₹1,000 a month and Ultimate for ₹2,000 a month. These are also available as day passes for ₹400 a day and ₹800 a day. The session length limits are much longer at 6 hours and 8 hours, respectively. Do note that there is a 100-hour playtime limit per month. Also, if the servers are busy, you will be put in a queue and people paying for higher tiers get priority.

The Performance tier gets you 1440p @ 60fps gaming. The Ultimate tier offers a GeForce RTX 5080 equivalent machine with 5K @ 360fps streaming. The Ultimate tier also enables high-end features including DLSS 4, Reflex and Cloud G-Sync (check that your monitor supports G-Sync).

By the way, if you took part in the beta test, you will get a 20% discount on the first three months of recurring membership. You should get an email about it.

If you haven’t used GeForce Now before, it’s a service that connects you to a gaming PC over the Internet. It doesn’t offer any games, though. Instead, it lets you play games you own on services like Steam, the Epic Games Store, Xbox, Battle.net and GOG. Game subscription services like Xbox Game Pass and Ubisoft Connect also work.
