Gandhinagar: The monthly state level SWAGAT grievance redressal programme will be held on Thursday, a govt release stated on Tuesday. Citizens who wish to physically submit complaints or make submissions can do so by visiting the public relations office of the chief minister’s office between 8am and 11am on Thursday. CM Bhupendra Patel will remain present for the programme, the statement added.Govt not acting tough against unscrupulous factory owners: CongAhmedabad: The state unit of the Congress party alleged on Tuesday that the state govt was not acting strictly against unscrupulous factory owners, leading to incidents like the firecracker unit blast in Ramol, Ahmedabad, that claimed 10 lives. Party spokesperson Hiren Banker said that in the past five years, 1,096 workers died in factory mishaps. “The number of factory workers deaths in Gujarat is higher than that in Maharashtra,” he claimed.
