Hyderabad: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday directed officials to prepare a project report for setting up stations at Vikarabad, Bharat Future City, and several other locations for the proposed bullet train and high-speed rail projects.He said that by establishing a railway station near Anantagiri in Vikarabad district on the Hyderabad–Pune railway line, the area could be developed with improved transport connectivity to the IT corridor in Hyderabad.The CM held a review meeting on bullet train and high-speed rail corridors at the MCRHRD Institute and suggested setting up stations at various locations, including Mannanur (Nallamala) near Somasila, keeping in mind the tourism potential of the proposed Hyderabad–Bengaluru high-speed rail line.He further said that a station near Anantagiri in Vikarabad on the Hyderabad–Pune railway route and another at Bharat Future City for the Hyderabad–Bengaluru high-speed railway line should be established, and Shamshabad should be designated as a bullet train hub, in view of future development and investment plans.CM A Revanth Reddy also reviewed the Warangal airport project and suggested that its design should reflect the heritage of the Kakatiya Empire. He proposed developing a large island in front of the airport featuring statues of Queen Rudrama Devi, King Rudradeva, and a massive Nandi. He instructed that discussions on the airport design be held with the Airport Authority of India officials in Delhi.
