Jhansi: “The Central govt’s target and Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by the centenary year of our freedom in 2047 is getting an overwhelming support from people of state and country,” said state deputy chief minister Keshav Prasad Maurya here during a press meet on the first day of his two days visit on Friday just ahead of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath‘s two days visit, starting Saturday.Maurya said that BJP has been able to win third time in a row the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with the support of its allies in NDA. Besides, BJP was able to prove its mantel by winning the Assembly elections in Maharashtra, Haryana, Delhi, Bihar, West Bengal and Assam. He further said that BJP is all set to win UP Assembly elections consecutively for the third time in 2027 and will also win the Uttarakhand, Himachal and Punjab elections.Highlighting achievements of the Central govt, Maurya said that the foreign policies of India are excellent and the country always stands by the truth. “As a result of his global leadership, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the only leader in the country who has been bestowed by the highest medal of honours by 35 countries,” he said.When asked about the rumors of defection of SP legislators to BJP and how many of them are in contact with their party members, Maurya said that BJP dose not believe in breaking any party nor establishes any contact with rival party members. “But i assure you that after 2027 state elections which BJP is winning the position of SP will become worst than TMC and it will confined to as Saifai Party”.When asked about the financial irregularities in Ram Mandir, he said that investigation is going on and anything can be ascertained only after the reports come. Whosoever is found guilty will be punished, he added.When asked to comment on Akhilesh Yadav‘s demand for SIT investigation on frequent visits of BJP leaders to Ayodhya and questions being raised over financial irregularities in Mathura temple, Maurya said that he is of a habit of tweeting while sitting in Lucknow while he and his family is ‘Ram Virodhi’. “Ayodhya is a centre of faith for crores of Hindus and it is aconspiracy to malign the Hindu culture by the Ram and Hindu Virodhi fractions”.Reacting on a statement by opposition that Lord Ram belongs to Muslims also, Maurya said, “there is nothing wrong in it. After all these Muslims were also Hundus earlier and Lord Ram is ancestor of all of us. Only thing is, we consider him as God and they consider him as their ancestor.”Reacting on a recent statement of Akhilesh Yadav that Ayodhya will prove to be a ‘Kurukshetra’ for BJP, Maurya said that Akhilesh should restraint himself from such statements as Ayodhya is a centre of religious faith for crores of Hindus and it is a matter of pride that Ram Temple could be built after 500 years.Defending Champat Rai, Maurya said that he is a great and very respectable ‘Ram Bhakt’ who is wholeheartedly devoted to the work of Lord Ram and the temple.When asked to comment on the recent challenge by SP’s Shivpal Singh Yadav that he has defeated Maurya several times, Maurya commented that he (Shivpal) is a big leader and he should first focus over his nephew and do not worry about him.
