A young man has caught the ire of people online after he was seen vandalising the window inside a moving train. While he was accompanied by a few others, no one stopped him from damaging public property; instead, they filmed him doing so. The incident has triggered widespread outrage with concerns over damage to public property and questions about the responsibility of people.
In the viral video shared on X, the young man, wearing a brown shirt, was seen ripping off a rubber strip attached to the window frame at first. He managed to take off the entire strip from the frame and then throw it out of the window. He did not stop there and went on to bang one of the windows.
Seconds later, he was seen trying to break one of the metal rods that was attached to the window for passengers’ safety. He tried with all his might to break the rod but was unable to do so. Later, he shifted to finding other things to damage. He attempted to damage the stand used to hang bags and was even caught banging power sockets, all while someone recorded the vandalism.
It is worth noting that the reason behind the vandalism remains unclear, and it is not known what prompted the man to damage the public property. The exact location where the incident took place also has not been independently verified.

Once the video surfaced online, it sparked outrage among people, with many condemning the act and calling for strict punishment against the man. Several users also pointed out that railway coaches are public property paid for by taxpayers and said those responsible for damaging them should be made to compensate for the losses.
An individual wrote, “Please see that these people are arrested and given exemplary punishment and also publicise the same so that no one in future dares to do such things. We can’t allow these hooligans to waste taxpayers’ hard-earned money!!!”
“What is the fun in destroying the nation’s property?? This is the mentality of people who do not pay taxes and still assume govt property is their own …should be taught lessons,” another commented.
“We keep on paying taxes so we can be able to see this bratty ill people destroying government property; the government should take severe steps, not just limited to making apology reels! Respected Honble Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw sir, please act,” someone else said.
A different person remarked, “He needs some tight slaps and then brutal thrashing; vandalism is not accepted on public property!”
