Panaji: A man, believed to be a tourist, jumped from the old Mandovi bridge on Friday evening, police said. A search operation was launched after police received a call around 6.30pm, with personnel from the fire and emergency services joining the effort.Police said the man’s identity has not yet been established and that he wasn’t found as of late Friday evening. The search operation will continue during daylight hours on Saturday.The incident, which occurred during peak hours, slowed traffic on the bridge. It was the second such incident on the Mandovi bridge in less than a month.
