CM pays tribute to Gorakhpur industrialists and social workers

Gorakhpur: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday visited the residences of three prominent industrialists and social workers of Gorakhpur—Om Prakash Jalan, Bal Krishna Saraf and Darshan Devi—to pay his last respects and offer condolences to their bereaved families.Recalling their contributions to industry, business, social service and cultural activities, the chief minister said the deceased had deep faith in the Gorakshpeeth and made significant contributions to society through their work and public service.CM Yogi first visited the residence of veteran industrialist and philanthropist Om Prakash Jalan in Jungle Nakaha No. 2. Jalan passed away on July 8. Yogi offered floral tributes before his portrait, prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul, and conveyed his condolences to Jalan’s wife, Poonam Jalan, his sons, Anuj Jalan and Tanuj Jalan, and other family members.He later visited the Gandhi Gali residence of Bal Krishna Saraf in Golghar. Saraf, a businessman, social worker and active participant in the Ram Temple movement, passed away on July 4. Yogi paid floral tributes to his portrait, prayed for the peace of the departed soul, and met his sons, Atul Saraf and Anoop Saraf, along with other family members, to express his sympathies.He also went to the Hari Om Nagar residence of Geeta Press trustee Devidayal Agarwal to pay tribute to Darshan Devi, wife of late Baijnath Agarwal and mother of Devidayal Agarwal, who passed away on July 8. He offered floral tributes before her portrait and expressed condolences to her sons—Deendayal Agarwal, Devidayal Agarwal, Madhav Prasad Agarwal, Radheshyam Agarwal and Hari Agarwal—as well as other members of the family.During all three visits, the chief minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and offered words of comfort to the bereaved families.
