The story was shared by software engineer Vikas Alwys, who spoke about his 42-year-old neighbour. According to him, the man walked away from a well-paying IT job because he no longer felt secure about his future at work.
Why He Quit His Job
In a post on X, Vikas said his neighbour had completed his B.Tech from Osmania University and was earning around Rs 18 lakh a year. However, instead of continuing in the IT industry, he decided to start an organic dairy business.
“There is a guy in my area who completed his B.Tech from Osmania University. He is around 42 years old and was earning about Rs 18 LPA. Recently, he left his job and started an organic dairy business,” Vikas wrote.
When asked why he left a comfortable job, the man said things had changed after Donald Trump returned as US President. According to him, his company started receiving fewer projects, making employees worry about their jobs.
“When I asked him why he left his job, he said that after Trump became President, the market was impacted, there were very few projects in his company, and their jobs always felt at risk,” Vikas shared.
Instead of living with that uncertainty, he decided to resign and focus on building something of his own.
A New Business Takes Off
Vikas said the man used his savings to launch an organic dairy business selling products such as desi ghee, curd, paneer and other dairy items. He also mentioned that the decision became easier because the man did not have any loans to repay.
“Instead of worrying all the time, he made the bold decision to quit. He also said that, thankfully, he had no loans, which made the decision easier,” Vikas wrote.
According to the post, the business is now doing well. “With his savings, he invested in organic dairy products like desi ghee, curd, paneer, and other dairy items. Today, his business generates around ₹3.5 lakh in monthly revenue, with a profit of about ₹1.5 lakh per month,” he added.
