Lalgudi Regulated Market to procure greengram

Greengram will be procured from farmers at the Lalgudi Regulated Market functioning under the Department of Agricultural Marketing and Agri Business in the district till July 9, according to an official release.

The market would procure about one tonne of greengram at a minimum support price of ₹8,768 a quintal. Greengram with less than 12% moisture content and other norms would be procured and hence farmers had been advised to dry their produce before bringing them to the regulated market.
