Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a breakfast meeting with Shiv Sena MPs on Friday, where he reviewed development work in their respective constituencies and discussed ways to speed up the implementation of government projects.

PM Modi asked the MPs to make effective use of government machinery and ensure that development initiatives reach the ground level on time. He also advised them to directly approach the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) if they face hurdles related to constituency projects, sources told CNN-News18.

During the interaction, the Prime Minister met each Shiv Sena MP individually and sought updates on local issues, development work and public concerns. He also interacted personally with Dharashiv MP Omraje Nimbalkar and asked about his yoga practice.

The meeting was attended by seven former Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena MPs, including six MPs who have officially joined Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena faction.

The interaction comes as the Centre continues to strengthen coordination with NDA allies and focus on key issues in Maharashtra, including infrastructure development, governance and the ongoing rain and flood situation in the state.

Earlier on Friday, PM Modi also met Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena chief Eknath Shinde to discuss development priorities and the impact of heavy rains and floods.

After the meeting, Shinde said that discussions focused mainly on Maharashtra’s development and the flood situation.

On PM Modi’s meeting with NDA MPs over breakfast today morning, Shinde said the Prime Minister’s personal interaction with the newly inducted Shiv Sena MPs was a matter of happiness for the party.

The meeting also comes ahead of a possible Union Cabinet reshuffle and the expected introduction of the delimitation bill in Parliament next week, making the interaction politically significant.
