Honda ADV160 vs Hero Xoom 160: Maxi-Scooters Compared

Honda has recently unveiled the Honda ADV160. We compare it against the Hero Xoom 160 to find out which maxi-scooter is the better option.

• The Honda ADV160 has a slight advantage over the Hero Xoom 160, producing more power and torque.

• The ADV160 is more future-ready, since the scooter is E85-compliant. 

Underpinnings 

• The ADV160 gets disc brakes at both ends, this should give better confidence during hard braking.

• The ADV160’s smaller 13-inch rear tyre should make it a bit more capable on broken roads.

Features 

• The Honda ADV160 gets a TFT display, giving it a more premium feel.

• The ADV160 comes with all-LED lighting and traction control — the Xoom 160 misses out on both and uses halogen indicators

The ADV160 clearly has the edge here with its TFT display, all-LED lighting, and traction control.

Both scooters pack an impressive feature set, but the Hero Xoom 160 stands out as a compelling option. Priced at Rs 1,44,787 (ex-showroom), it offers a better proposition if you are on a budget. 

On the other hand, the Honda ADV 160 outperforms the Hero Xoom on paper. While it’s not yet launched, it is expected to be priced around Rs 1.6 lakh (ex-showroom).
