Mysuru: Deputy commissioner of police Harsha Priyamvada Thursday advised competitive exam aspirants to work hard, focus on extensive study, practise regularly, and prepare systematically to succeed.She was speaking at the valedictory of KSET and NET coaching classes organised by the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Competitive Exams Training Centre on its campus in the city.She urged students to broaden their knowledge by reading competitive exam preparation books available in the market and libraries, and to follow newspapers and magazines for current affairs.She said even though her parents, who were doctors, wanted their daughter to become a doctor like them, she pursued civil services, cleared exams, and prepared for them at the PUC level.Additional Deputy Commissioner R Aishwary hailed KSOU for conducting coaching classes for aspirants and bringing Mukta Bhandra-like books for preparation for various competitive exams.KSOU VC Sharanappa Halase was present.
