What’s New

The new Overtones variant offers three striking new colour options: Space Grey, Lunar Grey, and Still White. Each of these colour options suit the sporty yet subtle character of the Ather 450X quite well. The Space Grey shade comes with a combination of light and dark shades of grey, along with funky looking orange accents and alloy wheels. The Lunar grey colour option comes with similar graphics, but with much lighter shades of grey and yellow coloured accents. The most subtle looking amongst the trio is the Still White paint scheme that comes with a premium looking glossy white shade, along with grey graphics and green coloured accents.

Other than the new colours, the brand has also given the scooter a bigger 900W charger, which ensures 30% faster charging speeds than before (claimed). Earlier the electric scooter used to come with a 700W charger. This update should make the 450X much more convenient to use on a day-to-day basis. The scooter finally gets the previously announced Atherstack 7 features like Infinite Cruise, Crash Alert, ParkSafe, and LockSafe. All of these features together make the Ather 450X a much more feature packed electric scooter than before.

What’s Unchanged

Other than the new changes, the scooter remains unchanged. It still comes with a sharp yet subtle styling, compact proportions and peppy performance for the city. It still gets a 6.5kW motor, powered by a 2.9kWh or 3.5kWh battery pack. The claimed range is 126km or 161km depending on the variant, while the scooter can go from 0 to 40kmph in 3.3-seconds and has a top speed of 90kmph (claimed). It runs on 12-inch alloy wheels at both ends, with a 90-section front and 100-section rear tyre. There are disc brakes at both ends as well, with a 200mm front and a 190mm rear disc brake setup, along with CBS (combined braking system).

BikeDekho Says

The new colour options surely enhance the already praised design of the Ather 450X quite well. While the bigger charger should ensure faster charging, making the ownership experience of the 450X a bit more convenient. Other than this, the 450X was already a very feature loaded electric scooter, and now with the Atherstack 7 update, its feature list has only become longer. All this means that the Ather 450X still remains a strong contender in the segment, and a great electric scooter to consider.
