Kanpur: BJP MLA Surendra Maithani on Thursday submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on behalf of advocates, demanding cashless and free medical treatment for lawyers and their families or their inclusion under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.The memorandum was submitted by the Adhivakta Kalyan Sangharsh Samiti.A delegation of advocates met the MLA at his residence on Thursday morning and urged him to raise their demand before the state govt.Responding to the demand, Maithani said he himself belongs to the legal profession and is fully aware of the conditions and problems faced by advocates.He had assured the delegation that he would personally hand over the memorandum to CM Yogi Adityanath and request him to consider the demand sympathetically.
