Jhansi: As part of the nationwide campaign marking 12 years of the central govt under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, DM Gaurang Rathi organised a night chaupal in Raksa Gram Panchayat of Babina block on Wednesday under the integrated public welfare and awareness campaign being conducted from June 5 to 21.Presiding over the event, DM Gaurang Rathi interacted directly with villagers, reviewed the implementation of govt welfare schemes, heard public grievances and issued instructions for their prompt resolution. He also conducted an inspection of the village and its underprivileged settlements to assess local issues on the ground and ensure corrective action.Addressing the gathering, Rathi emphasized that empowering villages is essential for building a developed India. He said both the central and state govts are continuously working for the welfare of farmers, women, youth, labourers and economically weaker sections.He encouraged eligible beneficiaries to avail various govt beneficiary schemes floated from time to time.On this occasion awareness activities by various departments, including health, agriculture, women welfare were also held. BJP city president Sudhir Singh also addressed the gathering and highlighted the achievements and development initiatives undertaken by the Central Government over the past 12 years.
