Anirudh Singh appointed as Hyderabad head coach for 2026-27 domestic season

Former skipper Anirudh Singh has been appointed as head coach of the Hyderabad men’s senior team for the 2026-27 season. 

Bavanaka Sandeep, also a former player, has been named his deputy, with Alfred Absolem (bowling coach) and Abhinav Kumar (fielding coach) completing the coaching unit.

Anirudh recently coached Hyderabad E-Champions to the inaugural TG20 title earlier this month. He had previously coached the Chhattisgarh Ranji Trophy team and was awarded the Outstanding Coach of the Year for 2025 by the Chhattisgarh State Cricket Sangh.

D.B. Ravi Teja, who was with the senior men’s team last season, will now take up the responsibility of the under-23 team. Ben Johnson has been appointed bowling coach, while Ronald Rodriques was named the fielding coach.

The under-19 team will be handled by Abhijit Chatterjee, with P. Shashank Nag as the batting coach and Mohd. Abdul Khader as the fielding coach. Meanwhile, S Kiran Kumar will lead the under-16 team, and he will be assisted by Mohd. Musharaf Khan (bowling coach) and Nitin Anthony (fielding coach).
