Rourkela: Two people were arrested on Sunday on charges of burglary at a house in Chhend police station area of Rourkela on July 24. Police have also recovered stolen properties — a scooty, mobile phone, LED TV, some brass utensils, a gold chain of about 1.99g, two pairs of gold earrings, four pairs of silver payal, four silver finger rings and a silver chain.A complaint was lodged by Manish Agarwal of Phase-III in Chhend, based on which a case was registered and a special investigation team formed. Through technical analysis, CCTV camera examination and intelligence inputs, the accused — thief Satyendra Kumar (36) of Dhamara Basti, Chhend, and buyer Vicky Prasad (35) of Daily Market under Plantsite police station — were identified. During interrogation, accused Satyendra confessed to his crime disclosed the identity of Prasad as the receiver of the stolen property.
