What do you do when you want to play cricket but do not have enough players? For a group of children who were short on teammates, the answer was simple. They brought in their four-legged friends into the game. The unusual cricket match has caught the attention of people on the internet, with users particularly impressed by the dogs’ catching skills.
In a video shared on X, three to four young boys were captured playing cricket against the beautiful backdrop of a hilly area. They were playing on uneven, rocky terrain, while two dogs and a few cows stood around the field, with the dogs actively taking part in the match.
One dog even appeared to be keeping wickets. It was seen catching the ball with its jaws. As the boys continued with their game, the dogs ran here and there to catch the ball. One of the dogs was seen chasing after the ball across the rocky hillside, jumping over large rocks before bringing it back towards the bowler.
At one point, one of the dogs even managed to take a catch to dismiss the batter. Even the child appeared visibly shocked by the unexpected wicket, while the dog casually carried on with its fielding duties. All of them were seen enjoying the match thoroughly. “Premium subscription of life,” was written over the clip.
“Dogs Clearly Understood The Assignment”
While the exact location of the video was not shared, the clip has been widely shared online and has left people amused by the bond between the kids and their dogs and their unique cricket match.
“What a fielder and what a beautiful place,” said a user.
“The dogs clearly understood the assignment,” an individual commented.
“The fielders are cute to the loved and ferocious to the unwanteds. But indeed a lovely morning for kids to have cricket in the valley,” another wrote.
“It reminds me of my childhood; my dog used to be doing wicket keeping,” someone else shared.
“Ohh my goddd, so fulfilling. They won’t be worried about any Monday meetings,” remarked a person.
“Dogesh bhai cricket khel rahe hai, truly premium subscription of life,” a different individual mentioned.
Another person said, “So wholesome! The fielders may be distracted, but they’re definitely the cutest on the ground.”
