Prayagraj: To enhance digital skills and cyber awareness, the UP Board has made some significant revisions adding new topics in the Class 10 Computer subject syllabus for the 2026-27 academic session.Aligning the school education with emerging technological and skill-based requirements. the board has incorporated topics related to e-commerce and cyber security in the syllabus. These include modules on UMANG and DigiLocker services, health portals such as Aarogya Setu, Mera Aadhaar (UIDAI), cyber hygiene practices, including the use of unique passwords, multi-factor authentication, and safe Wi-Fi access points.Likewise, to encourage sports and physical fitness, fencing has been added to the syllabus of Moral Education, Yoga, Sports and Physical Education for Classes 9 and 11.On the govt directives to improve learning outcomes and increase students’ interest in studies, subject experts have introduced four remedial teaching unit tests in all Class 11 and 12 subjects. These tests will be conducted at the school level to assess students’ understanding and provide timely academic support. However, the marks obtained in these unit tests will not be reflected in the final marksheet.Another key reform pertains to the High School level Science and Home Science subjects. The Board has replaced internal assessment with practical work, and students will now be required to appear in public practical examinations for these subjects.Secretary UP Board Bhagwati Singh said that the revisions were finalised after curriculum committee meetings and a detailed review of the syllabi by subject experts. The updated courses for all High School and Intermediate subjects have been uploaded on the Board’s website for the 2026-27 academic session.
