Filmmaker K. Hariharan will inaugurate the 3rd International Film Festival at Alliance Francaise in Puducherry on Friday. Chief Secretary Sharat Chauhan and former Minister K. Lakshminaraynan will participate in the inaugural ceremony.
During the three-day festival, around 10 movies would be screened at Alliance. On the inaugural day, The Stranger directed by Francoise Ozon will be screened at 7 p.m. The other films to be screened, include The Bibi Files, Amrum (German), A Poet (Columbian), Nellira (Tamil), Maghe Dhaka Tara (Bengali), Terrestrial Verses (Iranian), By the Stream (South Korean) and The Sun Rises on Us All (Chinese).
The festival is being organised jointly by the Puducherry Film Forum, Alliance Francaise and Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Artists Association, the organisers said at a press conference on Thursday.
