‘Ladke Ne Asliyat Dikhayi’: Man Poses As Fake TTE At Patna Junction, Collects Rs 1,200 In 30 Minutes

What was intended to be a “harmless prank” has turned into a matter of concern among public after a young man posed as a fake ticket examiner at Patna Junction. In a video shared on social media, the boy named Shivam Gupta was seen wearing the quintessential TTE uniform comprising a white shirt, a black coat and pants. He even carried a fake ID card to impersonate a ticket checker.

“Aaj main dekhunga fake TTE ban k aakhir main kitne paise kama sakta hun (Today I will see how much I can earn by pretending to be a TTE),” the boy said in the clip. Despite expressing his concerns about being caught by the real TTEs and railway police present at the station, he proceeded with the stunt.

The video showed him asking approaching passengers and asking for their tickets. While some had valid tickets on them, others did not. He then began charging around Rs 500 from each traveller who was not carrying a valid ticket.

“Jinke paas ticket nahi tha main unse 500 lete chala gaya (I kept taking Rs 500 from those who were carrying a ticket),” he said. At the end of the clip, he claimed that he earned Rs 1,200 in just half an hour by posing as a fake TTE.

His clip was shared on X with the caption, “A boy named Shivam Gupta reportedly dressed up as a TTE and checked passengers’ tickets at Patna Junction just to gain views on social media. This isn’t a prank — it’s impersonation of a public servant and a serious security concern. Such stunts can mislead passengers, undermine trust, and create risks at busy railway stations. @drmdnr @rpfecr Authorities should investigate the incident and take appropriate action to ensure this behavior is not repeated.”

Internet Requests Authorities To Take Strict Action

Soon other users also began commenting on the video, with people demanding strict action against the boy.

“Indian Railways and the Railway Security Department are requested to catch this as soon as possible and take strict action against it. This is very wrong as per the Railway Act. Did the Railways give permission to shoot such a video?” said one user.

“Sabse badi baat yeh sab station ke andar ho rha hai na ki gate ke bahar. Socho aise kitne fake TTE sachme kar skte hai ya karte honge?” someone else pointed out.

Another concerned citizen commented, “This Is Unacceptable, @RPF_INDIA, please take Strong legal action.”

“@rpfecr, concern authority, please look into the matter seriously. This shows that none of the @RPF_INDIA were available for duty and not watching the seriousness of the matter as well as the passengers,” a different individual mentioned.

“This boy has no idea how serious a mistake he’s making. If he ends up booked under the Railway Act, he could find himself behind bars for a long time. One reckless act can have consequences far bigger than he imagines.”

Meanwhile, one person said, “Kya action lena…is ladke ne to asliyat dikhayi hai…Real TTE ke bavajood itne bina ticket log kyon hain? Agar hain to kitni rishwat kamai…Ye sawal hai….Ab swal uthaney waley ko dhar logey to system ki gandgai kon saaf karega.”

The official Twitter account of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Danapur, also reacted to the clip, saying, “Corrective action is being taken. Please share your contact number for further assistance.”
