The Buckingham Murders box office collection day 2: Despite screening in just 1341 screens in India, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s film The Buckingham Murders is picking up pace at the box office. On its first day, the film collected Rs 1.15 crore, now as per industry tracker Sacnilk, early estimates for day two suggest that the Hansal Mehta directorial has collected Rs 1.90 crore, taking the Kareena-starrer’s total collection to Rs 3.05 crore.
Compared to its day one (Friday), The Buckingham Murders has also seen a spike in its occupancy from 9.99 per cent to 15.70 per cent. The number of screens in which it is released has also slightly gone up. The maximum number of screens given to the Kareena Kapoor film is in Delhi NCR which is 371, followed by 247 in Mumbai. Despite having been released on just 6 screens in Chennai, the movie has seen the highest occupancy in that state. In Chennai, the occupancy for The Buckingham Murders is 72.50 per cent, and Bengaluru has the next highest occupancy of 37.25 per cent with the film released in just 30 screens.
Even Pune and Hyderabad have seen better occupancy as compared to Mumbai and Delhi where the film has released in maximum number of screens. Despite releasing in close to 100 screens, The Buckingham Murders has seen its lowest occupancy in Surat at 9.25 per cent.

Kareena Kapoor’s performance in The Buckingham Murders has been widely appreciated. The movie revolves around a British-Indian detective who is dealing with a personal loss and has been assigned the case of a murdered child in Buckinghamshire. The film is jointly produced by Ekta Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures and Mahana Films. With no big release coming up soon, it will be interesting to see The Buckingham Murders’ trajectory at the box office.
