T’puram: A 19-year-old engineering student was injured after he fell onto the road from a moving KSRTC bus at Kallara on Thursday morning.The incident occurred around 9am near Pazhayachanta Junction when the Kallara native Al Amin was travelling on a KSRTC bus from Kallara to Venjaramoodu. He fell through the rear door of the moving bus after it suddenly opened.Al Amin sustained injuries to his head and leg in the fall. Locals soon took him to Government Medical College Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram.The bus was reportedly heavily crowded at the time of the incident. Officials said they are examining whether the rear door opened due to the heavy rush inside the bus or because of a mechanical fault.Pangode Police said the statement of the injured student is yet to be recorded. A formal case will be registered after his statement is recorded, the police said.
