Kanpur: A 27-year-old motorcyclist died after being crushed by a speeding dumper near Barnav Mod on the Kanpur–Sagar Highway in the Ghatampur police station area on Friday morning.According to police, the dumper allegedly hit the bike head-on, during which the rider got trapped under the wheels, and was dragged for nearly 500 metres before he died. When locals tried to apprehend the driver, he abandoned the vehicle and fled the spot.Crime Inspector Khursheed Ahmad said the body was sent for postmortem examination. He added that further action would be taken based on the complaint.
