Semi-Naked Foreigner Enters Homes, Bites Residents In Varanasi Before Police Detains Him; Internet Says: ‘Don’t We Have Deportation?’
People of a neighbourhood in Varanasi were left terrified after a semi-naked foreign national allegedly went on a rampage through the area. He entered homes, threw household items and even bit a resident before he was overpowered and detained by the city police. Videos of the incident have since surfaced online, showing the man screaming, jumping and charging at people.
The incident took pace on Thursday, July 16, in the Saptasagar Medicine Market area under Kotwali Police Station. The foreign national reportedly ran through the locality in a state of panic before entering a residential building. He allegedly climbed to the upper floors and began throwing household items. Despite repeated attempts by locals to calm him down, he refused to cooperate.
In a clip posted on Instagram, he was seen wearing nothing except for half pants, as he screamed at people, jumped on the road and behaving aggresively. During the commotion, he reportedly even bit one of the residents on the hand while trying to evade those attempting to restrain him. After much to and fro, locals finally managed to overpower him and he was taken into custody. They later shifted him to a hospital for a medical examination.
While there has been no confirmation, locals have suggested that the foreign national was under the influence of bhaang. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
Internet Demands Action Against The Foreign National
The videos of the foreign national, causing ruckus has since gone viral on the internet, with a section laughing at his antics while others demanded prompt action against him for disturbing locals.
“Probably consumed some shrooms. Very common in his culture,” one person claimed.
Another said, “This bhaang business in Varanasi should be regulated. On my recent train travel, there was a guy who boarded in Varanasi, he was completely stoned and did not had any clue where he has to go, even arguing with the TT.”
Meanwhile, an individual asked, “Local police is helpless? Bro, detain this a—e asap, and beat the s–t out of him for creating problem for citizens.”
“This is when public interference is needed,” remarked someone else.
“He is clearly hopped up on something. It’s high time the Police in India carries tasers to calm criminals down like how they do in U.S.,” a different person shared.
Another person asked, “Don’t we have deportation system like what Europeans and US does!”
