Noida: The district administration has announced the schedule for the 2026-27 state govt’s scholarship and fee reimbursement scheme for OBC students, excluding minority OBCs, with over 14,000 beneficiaries from Class 9 and above expected this year. In a key change, students will get only one opportunity to submit online applications, unlike previous years when the portal opened twice.In the 2025-26 academic session, around 13,000 students availed the scheme.District backward class welfare officer Lavesh Kumar Sisodia said students can submit online applications between Aug 11 and Aug 25, while students pursuing higher education can apply from Sept 15 to Oct 15.Educational institutions have been directed to complete preparation and verification of master data before the application process begins and verify eligible applications within the prescribed deadlines to avoid delays in disbursal.For higher education institutions, master data preparation will continue till Aug 15, while verification will be completed by Sept 14. Colleges will have to verify and forward eligible applications between Sept 15 and Oct 25.For schools, master data preparation will continue till Aug 5 and verification till Aug 9. Schools must verify and forward students’ applications between Aug 11 and Aug 30.
