Pune: The Hinjewadi police on Tuesday arrested a senior officer working with a private life insurance company on the charge of outraging the modesty of a woman employee.Frustrated by the harassment, the woman approached the Hinjewadi police and lodged a complaint.Senior police inspector Balaji Pandhare of the Hinjewadi police said that the complainant works with a private life insurance company based in Aundh. She was operating from a public sector bank in Hinjewadi, as her company has a tie-up with the bank.“The woman stated in her complaint that her immediate boss used to call her frequently and talk to her about issues other than work-related matters,” Pandhare said.The officer said that the woman also alleged in her complaint that her senior attempted to molest her when they were near the headquarters of their company. He even forced her to accompany him to Lonavla for lunch and tried to molest her there.“After receiving her complaint, we verified the video recordings and other evidence and arrested the accused,” Pandhare said.
