President Droupadi Murmu conferred the Padma awards to the recipients in New Delhi, on Monday (May 25, 2026).
Ms. Murmu conferred Padma Vibhushan to actor Dharmendra posthumously, his wife Hema Malini received the award. Padma Vibhushan was conferred on violinist N. Rajam.
The President conferred Padma Bhushan on former Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and banker Uday Kotak.
Indian women’s team captain Harmanpreet Kaur was conferred with the Padma Shri award.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and other Ministers were present during the Civil investiture ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan.
