Mangaluru: The National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) Surathkal has signed a bipartite memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and a tripartite MoU with NSDC and EdTech company USDC, to launch and expand online postgraduate and certification programmes.The MoUs were signed by B Ravi, director, NITK Surathkal; Mahima Singh, representing NSDC; and Vivek Bhattacharya, representing USDC. The partnership is aimed at widening access to NITK’s academic offerings through online delivery, targeting students, working professionals, and entrepreneurs seeking advanced, industry-relevant qualifications.Under the initiative, NITK Surathkal will introduce an online MTech programme in Signal Processing and Artificial Intelligence (SPand AI) starting in the 2026–27 academic year. The institute said the online portfolio will be expanded in subsequent years to include an MTech in Information Technology, an MBA, and other specialised programmes.Admissions for the online MTech in Signal Processing and Artificial Intelligence are set to open for the 2026–27 academic year, with applicants advised to check the official NITK Surathkal website for eligibility requirements, application schedules, and programme details.Key highlights• Programmes open to students, working professionals, and entrepreneurs• Future-ready skills delivered by one of India’s premier technical institutions
