Narco test on accused in Gumla missing girl

Ranchi: The state govt on Thursday told Jharkhand high court that the permission for conducting a narco test on an accused involved in the missing girl case of Gumla has been obtained. The govt informed the HC that permission has been received from the court of Gumla chief judicial magistrate to conduct the narco test on the accused. It will be conducted in Gujarat. The case will now be heard on July 9. The chief secretary, home secretary, and DGP appeared before the bench. The case has been filed by Chandramuni Orain, whose six-year-old daughter went missing in Sept 2018 in Gumla and has been traceless.HC questions rural develepment department on bridges collapsingRanchi: Jharkhand high court on Thuesday questioned the rural development department as to why bridges constructed by the department collapse frequently in the state. The court was hearing a public interest litigation filed by one Pankaj Kumar Yadav, who has stated that bridges constructed by the department are built with inferior quality of raw materials and do not last for long. The case will again be heard on July 2.
