MUMBAI: Central Railway’s Mumbai Division will operate a mega block on the Main Line between Thane and Kalyan and on the Trans-Harbour Line between Thane and Vashi/Nerul today to undertake essential engineering and maintenance works aimed at ensuring the safety and reliability of railway infrastructure.No daytime block is scheduled on the Western Railway suburban section today.On the Main Line, the block will be in force on the Up and Down Fast Lines between Thane and Kalyan from 10.40 am to 3.40 pm. During this period, fast and semi-fast suburban services will be diverted to slow lines, with additional halts at Kalva, Mumbra and Diva stations. These trains are expected to reach their destinations approximately 10 minutes behind schedule. Several Mail and Express trains will also be diverted via the 5th and 6th lines between Thane and Kalyan.On the Trans-Harbour Line, services between Thane and Vashi/Nerul will remain suspended from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm. Several services operating between Thane, Vashi, Nerul and Panvel during the block period will remain cancelled.
