Gurgaon: A 28-year-old was stabbed to death by a 17-year-old boy in Faridabad’s Om Enclave on Friday night, with his family alleging he was attacked after asking the teenager not to smoke. Police have apprehended the juvenile but say the motive is still under investigation.The incident occurred around 11pm when Kishori was standing near his house talking to his friend Anil. The teen approached, pulled out a cigarette and asked Anil for a matchbox. According to Anil, Kishori told him not to smoke, prompting the minor to hurl abuses, which led to a heated exchange. The boy left but returned a short while later, allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Kishori in the neck and stomach before fleeing.Anil and other friends rushed Kishori to Palla civil hospital, where doctors gave him initial treatment before referring him to AIIMS, Delhi. He died on the way. Relatives said he worked for a private company and was the family’s sole support.“He had done nothing wrong and had only asked the accused not to smoke,” Kishori’s elder sister told TOI.Police spokesperson sub-inspector Yashpal Yadav said questioning indicated the stabbing followed an exchange of abuses between Kishori and the juvenile, and that the minor allegedly attacked him in a fit of rage before fleeing. “Further investigation is underway to establish the sequence of events,” he said.
