Belagavi: Shahapur police have arrested two people in connection with the suicide of a man who allegedly recorded videos before taking the extreme step, accusing three people of harassment, assault, and threats for over a financial dispute.The deceased is Ningappa Sadyappa Hampannavar, 41, of Dhamane village in Belagavi taluk. The arrested are Raju Badiger, 36, and Sanjay Pawar, 40, both from Dhamane. Shahapur police inspector SS Seemani and his team arrested the accused and produced them before the third court of the first-class judicial magistrate, which remanded them to judicial custody.Ningappa allegedly died by suicide, hanging himself near a water tank close to BM Kankanwadi Ayurveda College in Shahapur on Saturday night.According to the complaint filed by his wife Ashwini, a case was registered against three persons, two of whom are now arrested. In the videos reportedly sent to his contacts before dying, Ningappa named Badiger, Pawar and Deepa Mulimani of Dhamane, alleging that their actions had driven him to take the extreme step.Ningappa stated that he had been assaulted outside his house on Friday night, and threatened. He reportedly said in the video that he feared being killed, and that he had chosen suicide over what he described as a painful death at the hands of those threatening him.Police have seized more than five videos and are examining their contents as part of the investigation.
