Police said the exact reason behind the incident is yet to be known

Gurgaon: An FIR was registered after a 28-year-old man alleged that he was abducted from outside his hookah shop in Manesar by three men known to him. He alleged that the men assaulted him inside an SUV and later dumped him unconscious on May 10.The case was registered on Tuesday based on a complaint filed by Ankit, a resident of Manesar. According to the complaint, the incident took place around 5.30pm on May 10 when Ankit was present at his shop near Manesar bus stand. He alleged that two men, identified as DP alias Deepak and Jitu alias Jitendra, arrived at the shop and asked him to step outside for a conversation.Outside the shop, a third accused, identified as Johny, was allegedly waiting in a black Scorpio SUV. Ankit alleged that the three men forcibly took him inside the vehicle and drove away.In his complaint, Ankit stated that when he questioned them about where they were taking him, they asked him to remain quiet. He further alleged that the accused snatched and threw away his mobile phone when he attempted to make a phone call.The complainant alleged that one of the accused pointed a firearm at him when he tried to raise an alarm. He further stated that the accused stopped the vehicle at multiple locations and assaulted him before taking him towards Nainwal village.Ankit also alleged that he was taken to a farmhouse or office linked to one of the accused, where he was assaulted again. He claimed the accused also snatched his gold chain, ring and keys to his vehicle.According to the complaint, he lost consciousness during the assault and regained consciousness later with the help of three unidentified persons, who offered him water and contacted his friends. He was later taken to a private hospital in Manesar.A police officer said the victim’s medico-legal report was obtained and CCTV footage from the area was examined during preliminary verification. The officer added that allegations related to the snatching of valuables and the use of a firearm could not be substantiated during initial verification and are being further investigated. “The exact reason behind the incident is yet to be known. The victim is undergoing treatment and is currently unable to speak properly,” the officer said.A case was registered at Manesar police station under sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 126 (wrongful restraint), 127(2) (wrongful confinement), 351(3) (criminal intimidation) and 3(5) (common intention) of BNS.
