Patna: Seven live cartridges were recovered from the handbag of a software engineer and an empty cartridge from a student’s bag during baggage screening at Patna airport on Saturday. A case under the Arms Act was registered against software engineer Santosh Tiwari, 32, who was later released on bail bond, while no FIR was lodged against 23-year-old Muskan Kumari. Patna airport SHO Sunil Kumar Jaiswal said, “Santosh claimed to be unaware of the cartridges in his bag and suspected someone might have kept them there.” He added, “Muskan found the empty shell about three months ago, kept it and forgot about it. The matter was not suitable to register a case.”
