The fourth edition of the Kindness Awards was held at Hotel Savera on the birth anniversary of industrialist Vijayakumar A. Reddy on Tuesday. It was organised by Savera Managing Director Nina Reddy and supported by Change A Life Charitable Trust (CAL). The awards celebrate his legacy of compassion towards animals. This year, 15 individuals who dedicated their lives to animal welfare were honoured while six others were felicitated for strengthening the cause through their support.
The event also included a pet ramp walk that flaunted pets in colourful outfits. Nina Reddy said that compassion towards animals reflects the values of a humane society, and asked people to support animals through food, water, shelter, medical care, and financial assistance.
