Kerala government assigns district responsibilities to ministers

Thiruvananthapuram: General administration (coordination) department has issued an order assigning district-wise responsibilities to members of state cabinet. Allocations have been made to facilitate district-level coordination and oversee development activities across state.Transport minister C P John has been given charge of Thiruvananthapuram district. Minister Shibu Baby John will oversee Kollam district, while minister P C Vishnunath has been assigned Pathanamthitta district. Other district allocations are M Liju – Alappuzha, Mons Joseph – Kottayam, Anoop Jacob – Idukki, Roji M John – Ernakulam, O J Jeneesh – Thrissur, N Shamsuddeen – Palakkad, P K Basheer – Malappuram, A P Anil Kumar – Kozhikode, T Siddique – Wayanad, Sunny Joseph – Kannur and K M Shaji – Kasaragod.Ministers will be responsible for coordinating govt programmes and monitoring implementation of development projects in their respective districts.sponsible for coordinating govt programmes and monitoring implementation of development projects in their respective districts.
