NEW DELHI: A 27-year-old man allegedly died by suicide in a hotel room in Delhi’s Nangloi area after reportedly feeling distressed over his separation from his girlfriend, leaving behind a note apologising to his family and requesting that she be informed of his death, news agency PTI reported.As per the PTI report, police said they received a PCR call at 11.09pm on Tuesday from a hotel near Nangloi Metro Station, reporting that a guest had been found hanging in a room.The deceased was identified as a Shakurpur resident who worked in a company in Pitampura, PTI reported.According to police, he checked into the room at around 11.30am and told the hotel staff that he would check out by 7pm.“When he failed to vacate the room, hotel staff knocked repeatedly. After receiving no response, they opened the room with a spare key and found him hanging from the ceiling fan with the help of a bedsheet,” the source said.A handwritten note recovered from the room stated that he could not live without the woman. The deceased also apologised to his family members before taking the extreme step and requested that the woman be informed of his death before his last rites.During inspection, police found blood stains in the bathroom and minor cuts on his left wrist, indicating that he had first attempted to end his life by slashing his wrist.Crime and forensic teams examined the scene, and no foul play has been suspected so far, the source said, as reported by PTI.
