Kanpur: An FIR was registered two days after an eleven-year-old girl was raped while she slept on the rooftop of her house in a village under Jahanganj police station area.The girl’s father, filed an FIR against a neighbouring villager, a resident of Madhwapur. He said that on Tuesday night his daughter was sleeping on the roof when, at around 12:30am at night, the accused sneaked onto the roof and raped her by gagging her mouth.He further informed that when his daughter raised an alarm, the accused fled by jumping off the roof after threatening to kill her.After the victim was medically examined, police intensified the search for the accused.Inspector-in-charge, Poonam Awasthi, said that an FIR has been registered in the matter and a search for the youth is underway.
