DRM inspects pantry car of Amrit Bharat Exp

Varanasi: With the objective of ensuring safe, hygienic and high-quality catering services for passengers, Varanasi divisional railway manager of North Rastern Railway, Ashish Jain, conducted an inspection of the pantry car of the Banaras–Hadapsar (Pune) Amrit Bharat Express along with senior divisional commercial manager Prashasti Srivastava and senior supervisors, on Saturday.The pantry car operated by IRCTC was thoroughly examined for storage of food items, functioning of refrigerators, drinking water purification system, cleanliness of kitchen utensils, food preparation equipment, sanitation arrangements and compliance with food safety standards. Jain directed the pantry car staff to ensure strict adherence to prescribed standards of cleanliness and food quality.The DRM said providing clean, safe and quality food to passengers is among top priorities of the railways and instructed that hygiene, quality and sanitation standards must be followed strictly at every stage of food storage, preparation and distribution.
