Exuding absolute confidence regarding the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) electoral prospects in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, union minister of state Jitin Prasada said that the party is positioned to secure an overwhelming mandate. At the News18 India Amrit Ratna Samman conclave on Wednesday, the minister emphasised that the campaign’s core anchor will be the visible achievements of the “double-engine” governance model, seamlessly combining chief minister Yogi Adityanath’s uncompromising stance on law and order with the Narendra Modi-led central government’s massive infrastructure push.
Prasada thoroughly dismissed the opposition’s renewed attempts to cobble together a united front in the politically crucial state. He argued that the electorate in Uttar Pradesh has historically suffered from the instability, systemic policy paralysis, and compromised law enforcement associated with caste-based coalitions. According to the minister, voters have completely outgrown fragmented identity politics and will resolutely reject any regressive return to governance models that tolerate lawlessness or stall developmental momentum for sectarian compromises.
“The voters of Uttar Pradesh have already tasted the chaotic instability of opportunistic, caste-driven alliances. They will not trade transparent governance and personal security for a return to administrative paralysis,” he said.
Turning to operational readiness, Prasada asserted that the BJP’s formidable organisational machinery is already firing on all cylinders across every polling booth in the state. Unlike rival factions that rely on seasonal alliances and eleventh-hour seat-sharing arrangements, the ruling party’s ground-level cadres maintain continuous public engagement, translating state welfare initiatives directly into grassroots goodwill.
The minister reiterated that the BJP’s campaign will remain strictly tethered to its verified track record of inclusive development and transparent administration. By refusing to engage in the opposition’s caste-centric arithmetic, Prasada indicated that his party’s direct appeal to performance and public safety will override regional fragmentation, clearing the path for an unassailable majority in the state assembly.
