Davanagere: The district special Pocso court in Davanagere deferred to the 30th, its order on a police petition seeking cancellation of the anticipatory bail granted to Vachanananda swami, who was expelled from Veerashaiva Panchamasali Guru Peetha in Harihar in a Pocso case. After hearing arguments from both sides on June 11, the court initially reserved its order for June 18. Meanwhile, the mother of the victim boy approached the high court seeking cancellation of the anticipatory bail. Police from the Harihar Rural station filed an application before the court seeking revocation of anticipatory bail obtained by the swami even before the FIR was registered. Counsel for the swami, SV Patil, objected to this.“While the district court was hearing the police plea for cancellation of anticipatory bail, the victim’s mother also moved the high court. This was recently brought to the notice of the trial court. The judge adjourned the date for the final order,” said SV Patil, the swami’s lawyer.
