Lucknow: A swift response by Lucknow Police personnel helped a NEET-UG aspirant reach her designated examination centre just minutes before the entry gates closed on Sunday, preventing her from missing one of the country’s most competitive entrance examinations.The student initially arrived at the PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya examination centre in Gomti Nagar, believing it to be her designated venue. However, upon verification, she discovered that her actual examination centre was located at a Govt Girls’ Inter College (GGIC) in Gomti Nagar, several kilometres away.With only about seven minutes remaining before the gates were scheduled to close, the student found herself in a state of panic. Realising the urgency of the situation, police personnel deployed at the centre immediately stepped in to assist.Sub-Inspectors Prem Kumar and Cherian Singh, along with woman constable Chandni Yadav, quickly arranged transportation and personally escorted the candidate in a police vehicle to the correct examination centre.“The student reached the venue in time and was allowed to appear for the examination,” said Amol Murkut, ADCP, East Zone.The gesture drew appreciation from students and parents present at the centre.
