CM launches ‘Samras Vidyasetu’ campaign to re-admit school dropouts
CM said that while the dropout rate has reduced significantly, the next target is to achieve zero dropout

Gandhinagar: Chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Wednesday launched the statewide ‘Samras Vidyasetu’ campaign from Ahmedabad to readmit school dropouts into the education system. Under the campaign, more than 80,000 dropout children across the state will be reconnected with mainstream education.Speaking at the event, the CM said that while the dropout rate has reduced significantly, the next target is to achieve zero dropout, state govt has planned to identify and bring more than 80,000 out-of-school children back into mainstream education.Under the campaign, teachers, public representatives, and social leaders will work together to reach out to parents of students who have dropped out of school. “Every child will be admitted to the age-appropriate grade, from Classes I to XII, and special support along with supplementary learning arrangements will be provided for those who have fallen behind in studies,” the CM said.
