Bhubaneswar: CM Mohan Charan Majhi on Saturday arrived in Keonjhar on a two-day visit and attended the 11th-day mourning ritual of his elder brother, Dinabhandu Majhi, at Raikala village under Sadar block. He paid floral tributes to the departed soul.Several ministers, including Nityanand Gond, Rabi Naik, Mukesh Mahaling, Krishna Chandra Patra and Pradeep Bala Samanta, MPs Abhimanyu Sethi, Dilip Ray and Ananta Nayak, MLAs Akash Das Nayak, Himanshu Shekhar Sahu, Ashrit Patnaik, Prakash Chandra Sethi, Saroj Kumar Padhi, Erasish Acharya and Durga Charan Tanti, besides in charge of BJP Odisha, Vijay Pal Singh Tomar, among others attended the programme and offered their tributes.Senior police officers, including DIG Brijesh Kumar Rai and Keonjhar SP Nitin Kushalkar, were deployed to maintain law and order during the programme.Majhi is scheduled to return to Bhubaneswar on Sunday.
